Meet Cat Veterinarian Dr. Lynn Yut

Lynn Yut, DVM Dr. Yut graduated from Ohio State University in 1984 with honors.  She has lived in Carlsbad since 1988, and has been married for 20 years.  She established All Cats Hospital in 1991, which moved to its new location in 2007. Dr. Yut decided in high school that she wanted to be a veterinarian.  She attended Ohio State University where she earned a degree in Microbiology.  Her main focus at that time was equine medicine.  Dr. Yut had never really been exposed to cats until she began veterinary school and found their independence, grace and mystery, fascinating.  She had always wanted to live in California, and moved there immediately upon her graduation from veterinary college.  Dr. Yut practiced equine medicine for 5 years before shifting her focus to feline health care.  She finds both veterinary medicine and surgery rewarding, particularly preventive diagnostic medicine, as she believes this keeps cats healthier, happier and living longer. Dr. Yut initially worked at a feline practice in Pacific Beach CA and then in 1991, she opened her own private practice.  She always strives to treat and diagnose each cat as if it were her own.  Dr. Yut feels every cat brings a unique joy and bond to their caretakers.  She has a special interest in feline dentistry as so many cats suffer in pain without their owner knowing.  Feline dental care is one of the most important aspects of preventative medicine that will extend a cat’s life.  Dr. Yut takes special care to decrease anxiety while cat patients are visiting All Cats Hospital, and to be proficient, caring and as gentle as possible, when working with your feline companions.  She currently has only one very special pet, Abyssinian Baggins, an eight year-old male, who is not really sure he wants any other roommates.  When not practicing, Dr. Yut’s hobbies include sailing, kayaking, and camping in the mountains.
Betsy, Technician Betsy has worked in veterinary medicine for eight years.   She has been a staff member of All Cats Hospital for a total of almost five years.   Betsy is a California native who is proud to work for a veterinarian who provides quality medicine for cats.  She enjoys camping and photography as hobbies.  Betsy’s pets are her favorite subjects to photograph.  She shares her life with her husband, her Old English Bulldog, Bullie, and her three cats; Charlie, Brownie, and Precious (otherwise known as Kitten).
Kelly, Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist   Kelly is originally from the Midwest.  She began working for All Cats Hospital in October of 2011 after a year at North County Shelter.  She loves working with animals and owns two cats, Tabi and Luke, and a Chihuahua named Roo.  Kelly has a teenage son, and outside of work enjoys crafting and outdoor activities.
Lisa, Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist Lisa is a native of Oceanside (CA).  She was born and raised in Oceanside and is now back, rejoining her family.  She spent 10 years living in Colorado and working in a veterinary hospital there until she decided to return back to Oceanside to be around her family. Lisa came to All Cats Hospital with an abundance of veterinary experiences as she has been in the veterinary field for 11 years.  Lisa joined All Cats Hospital in July 2014.  She is currently working many positions for our hospital - receptionist, room assistant and a back assistant.  Lisa reports that Sadie, her cat, has her wrapped around her little paw.  We are enjoying her positive life outlook and her great skills with the cats.
Mya, Receptionist All Cats Hospital is happy to have Mya back at the front desk!  She had to take a two year sabbatical from working, but is now back part time as a receptionist.  Mya had previously worked for the hospital for seven years and is very happy to be back.  She missed all the clients and their furry friends as much as they missed her.  Mya is busy catching up with people and their cats.  When not at work she likes to paint and do art and glass projects.
Jessica, Receptionist Jessica is a newcomer to California and All Cats Hospital.  She moved here recently from the east coast.  Jessica has been in the veterinary industry for about nine years, working as technician and receptionist.  She has no kitties at the moment but has a special passion for cats.  Jessica hopes to have a new pet in the near future.
